Upon this a question arises: whether it be better to be loved than feared or feared than loved? One should wish to be both, but, because it is difficult to unite them in one person, it is much safer to be feared than loved.

Wow....just pick one....there are four that stand out that I would have no hesitation on.
So I suppose I need to vote for one that addresses my own concerns if I needed to use one.

Petrified Wood.

WW was one of the runners up.

I'm voting for woodswoman. That is a much better job of getting the stuff I'd want in that pouch.

Every kit is awesome. Thanks wilderbeast for letting this run. It was a nice thing to give everyone a chance to do their kit right.

I'm going to vote on PW's  kit.     I do like the solid pots inside these kits.   I think in a survival situation that solid pot would be the second biggest comfort next to the makings of fire. :)

WW.
On particularly rough days when I'm sure I can't possibly endure, I like to remind myself that my track record for getting through bad days so far is 100% and that's pretty good.

I'm going to vote for Big Hat. His little metal pot idea was great, and I wouldn't have even thought to include one if I hadn't seen his. Though I must say there were several other kits that were well planned out and it wasn't an easy decision.

Tough call. Really tough call. Everybody did a great job.

I really had to think about being in a really bad situation and what kit that I felt would provide the best overall solutions to the ordeal at hand.

I have to go with:

BIGHAT

Great job everbody else.

I read & looked them all over again and there are parts of three of them that I REALLY like and they're all good, but just because he was able to take it all out, show us, and then most importantly and unbelievably......P UT IT ALL BACK IN NEATLY    I'm going to cast my vote for BigHat's kit. :hail:

Looks like Bighat is the winner.

And a two way tie for second with PW and WoodsWomen.

Congratulations and thanks to everyone who participated.

Congrats.  Great kit, as they all were.
As long as we're doing the challenge together it doesn't matter to me where you send it.  Might be better to send it to the Beast as I have no address out in the woods.   :)  If worse comes to worse I'll pm you a post office you can send it to General Delivery.  The AT hikers do it all the time.

ps.  Hope the weather holds here for awhile so we can knock this challenge out.  It's been in the 50's at night and bout 80 during the day.  GREAT camping weather!

BH,  if you need my address shoot me a pm.

Tony,

We may be cutting it close doing this next weekend since Bighat has some postal challenges.

But as you said we are just entering prime camping weather up here.  I'll touch base with our photographer when I get home.  I'm currently in travel mode and will be home tomorrow evening with a load of surplus.
