Robert H. Treman state park.

My wife is way out of shape. I admit it was a hard climb right at the beginning. She can hardly walk now. 2.5 hours for 2 miles hiking, an elevation increase of 900 feet in 1 mile of trail. Coming down was harder on both of us. My calf muscles were screaming. All of this with NO PACKS!!

I'll go it alone from now on. It was a beautiful day 75* with a mild wind. The walking trail part of this video was the rim trail coming down. In that clip you can see the edge of the ravine where the leaf covered ground ends.

Carla corrected me. We started at 500 ASL and climbed 400 feet to 900 ASL. Sheesh!!! I need to start working out!

I am in the same boat that you are.  My excuse is my knees are shot.  Got the Synvisc I shots three weeks ago and while there is some pain relief it is obvious that a couple of new knees are in my future.
