I went to the small town near us for their Memorial Day tribute.  It is a fitting tribute to those who served and  died in that service.

My best friend was killed in Nam fifty years ago on the 22nd of this month.  I got a rubbing of his name from the traveling wall twenty five years ago or so.  It is framed and hangs on the wall over my desk as a reminder of the sacrifice he made for our Republic.

For the past 9 years I have been in  our scout troop when they partisapat in a ceremony. The boys always like the 21 gun salute. Now my son is part of the salute where he is stationed.
