burl question
« on: May 07, 2017, 07:37:01 PM »
i just recienly got my st piece of burl.  it was double dyed green/black
boxelder burl. now here's the deal i was under the impression that the wood
is supposed tobe dyed all the way through, is that right or no?
cause the dye only went in say a 1/4;in if that. everything else is brown.
and since i had to cut open the piece to make the scales it cannot be returned i guess.
but at 46'00 for a little piece of wood that sucks. any ideas?

All burl I've bought have been stabilized and the dye was all the way thru.
