My knives ~ Reds heat treat.
« on: February 15, 2015, 06:35:49 PM »
I sent my knives back to Steve for a little maintenance. They've been well used. He was kind enough to spruce them up for me. I did suggest he test his heat treat and he did it. I've had these blades several years, his methad was good then and it is still today.

My scandi woodlore. How's this.

Both need an edge and some scratches/gouges removed

I got a kit to fix one of his new designs! Can't wait.

Great blades

Steve does an Awesome spa job on blades. My confidence never wavered on his heat treat.

You were supposed to refurbish them, not make brand new ones that look exactly the same! :D

Great job on those though. If I didn't already know they were being refurbished I would have thought they were new.

Sweet.  I wish I had some talent.   :)

Those turned out looking great!!

I remember that convex and always thought it was interesting.  Kinda of a high sabre grind with a convex edge.  I can't remember if that's the only one he let out of the stable or not, but I always liked it.  Glad to see it's wearing a brand now too!

'Wow' pretty much covers it for me.
Upon this a question arises: whether it be better to be loved than feared or feared than loved? One should wish to be both, but, because it is difficult to unite them in one person, it is much safer to be feared than loved.
