I've never had the opportunity to eat nutria, but I have seen recipe suggestions for it in the pages of FUR-FISH-GAME magazine.  I know people eat beaver 8) and muskrat and I have had that, so I just figured that nutria might taste somewhat the same. ???   We don't have any of them here in NEBRASKA. :)

I know that domestic hogs relish a good snake now and then, so feral hogs probably seek them out just like their more refined cousins......I dun'no.

I thought Nutria was that god awful English Chocolate/Hazlenut/whatever spread for crackers and bread.  :-[        :puke:

Now i'm wondering if they make it out of rodents.

Maybe the Nutella is only made from male nutria.

Berbot is a puzzle to me,  I have lived most of my life in the same area of southern NE,  it's predominately French Canadian in ethnicity with a good helping of Italian and Irish thrown into the mix, we do have a fish that we call a "Budbut" (sic),  the more commonly know name is Bullheads or Black Catfish,  they are ugly,  damned near impossible to kill, but they are excellent eating panfried in butter,  if you get them out of clean water.
Berbot are a prize around here. Not many of them, and hard to catch, but if you're lucky a 30 pounder might bless you. They aren't even close to catfish. A more accurate name is Freshwater Ling.

I happen to like Nutella, especially on saltine crackers.
BTW, Nutria is the fur, Coypu is the animal.

Well hell,  there's no accounting for taste now is there   ;),  I like pickled lambs tongue with ketchup on it,  when ever I enjoy some my family has to turn away to keep from getting sick,  same way with head cheese,  I think it's great on crackers or breakfast toast,  but most young folks today treat it like poison,  go figure.
I do have to admit that I don't like Hazelnut in foods anyway,  I can enjoy the nut itself fresh out of the shell,  but Hazelnut in coffee or mixed with chocolate not so much,  the original stuff I was talking about is a English spread popular in Europe,  it's got a hazelnut/chocolate base,  but it's got a lot of other stuff hidden in it, mostly powdered grains,  a Brit friend of mine (I don't have many of 'them') gave me a taste of the stuff once and it was enough to last me the rest of my natural life.
Call me unsophisticated,  but it's hard to beat a good old fashioned PB&J or Fluffernutter,  and if you want to mix nuts with chocolate,  you can never go wrong with a Reece's peanut butter cup.

Well, it is difficult to admire a giant rodent that is devastating our wetlands.  I have hunted them and they do tend to fly apart easily when they encounter a .243 or even a .38 SPL.  Not much left to eat.  Just some bits barely big enough to spread with Nutella.

I really don't have any nuisance animals to deal with, but I hate carpenter bees.  These little traps work pretty well.

I have those plastic wasp traps but never seem to get many wasps in them.  I got lots of them in the house though.   :'(

The carpenter bees crawl up into the hole.  When they want to come back out, they head for the greatest amount of light which is the clear plastic bottle on the bottom.  Works well for the carpenter bees, but wasps rarely ever get caught in it.  I go around several times a year and hit the wasp nests with the "stand back 20 feet" wasp spray.  Supposedly, you can hang fake wasp/hornet nests to deter wasps and there also some glass contraptions that have a hole in the bottom that you put sugar water in to trap them, but I've never tried either of them.

I don't hang necter bottles for humming birds anymore because the wasps just love that sweet water.  They will drive the hummers away or try to kill them.  Gonna get a wasp trap made this year.  With all the rain we had, I am expecting an influx of rats, too.  Just going to get an owl decoy at Harbor Freight and forget about trapping them.

I have the same problem with paper wasps harassing the hummingbirds at their feeders. So a couple days ago, I took down the hummingbird feeder and replaced it with a plastic wasp trap that sort of resembles an old fashioned bee hive. It's yellow.  Within 4 hours I had a dozen wasps in it, and today there are over 2 dozen and the activity has slowed to nearly nothing.  Since the wasps liked the hummingbird nectar, I just used the same syrup formula, and they came a'runnin!

I never heard of carpenter bees. Hope you aren't talking about Mason Bees.  They are wonderful pollinators, and they don't sting.

Different types of bees, OP.  Carpenter bees can be quite destructive and I already have plenty of holes/burrows in my shed from them.  I don't need any more.

You can get them on-line through Home Depot. Check your local store's stock.

I've tried other brands and commercial "attractant", but this jewel has worked for 5 years so far.  Out shined my homemade traps, too.

I did some research on the effectiveness of plastic owls and one persons comment was "no, they don't work for long and the ultimate insult is the pigeon crap all over it".  OK so you need to animate the plastic owl to make it look alive.  Meh, traps are more fun in the long run.  Maybe I could try to make a small snare......

I bought a couple of those. They have a hand forged appeal but are not precision instruments or especially powerful. One was better than the other. I tried to tune them a little. 1 mouse and 1 vole. They both work but probably need a little more work
...don't go thinking you know me.
