Fishin with the kiddos!
« on: May 17, 2016, 07:29:55 AM »
Well Sarge inspired me to post a few pics I've had with my kids fishing this year.  So far they are on a roll!  Isabel caught her first bass with an artificial lure all by herself, then another in the same day!  Jack caught one too with a little help casting but then it was all him!

Here is the crew!

Bel caught both her bass on a little mini-whacker spinner bait

Jack is holding his he caught on a little crawfish plug.  I would cast this out far and let him reel it in.  He caught one!

Here is Jack holding one I caught

more random fish pics

Good times!  More to come another day!

Thanks for looking!

Good times for sure. Your kids are adorable! Thanks for sharing.

They will always remember those trips. When my older daughter was about your boy's age, she caught a 2-lb smallmouth on a 2-ft Barbie fishing rod. We still laugh about that!

Thanks Sarge, that must have been a blast for her!  Smallies fight good and on tackle that light I bet she was ecstatic!  Along with dad!  haha!

I remember (doesn't seem that long ago) when you first started posting pictures of, first Bel and then Jack later on, that you always tried to include them in some form of outdoor activity.  The big smiles present on their faces indicates that they are both still very much into it.  It's been fun watching them grow and learn over the years.  You're a good dad and they'll cherish these 'special times' with you as they mature. :fire1:

Will do wolfy and thank you.  I suppose they didn't have a choice in the matter but it is cool to see them take to it.  The other day my wife asked the kids if they wanted to go out to a movie and they said no they wanted to go fishing or hiking.  LOL!  That's winning right there  :)

Great bunch of pictures.  Nice job with teaching your children to fish.   :)
