i would like to ask a question
i had a mess of spring traps some rather large like for coyotes
the went thru the fire in my shop. could they still be used or no?
help on this woul be good.

This is a wag as far as whether you can use them but if the springs still work and you cannot pull out a piece of 1 1/2" diameter wood from the jaws you are probably okay. Lots could happen if they got too hot but it is probably worth just setting them and testing each to see how it is working. You could boil them and dye them just for looks if they are still functional.

I agree. Are these jump traps under-spring (single or double?) or coil-spring? If the springs still have their temper, no problem.
