Crashblade Tutorials

I've been very fortunate to be around some very good knife makers.  They freely share their time and knowledge with anybody that is interested.  The tutorial videos that I have done and will do are a way to try and continue that by sharing what I know.  My tutorials may not be the best way and they are certainly not the only way to do things - just the way that I do them (or did them in some cases).

Please feel free to ask any questions that you might have.

If there is a tutorial that you'd like to see, let me know.  If it's something I can do, I'm happy to make a video or take pictures to explain.

This series of videos is a knife build from start to finish, using a sawmill blade for the knife.

This three part video is how to make micarta.  I've changed the way I do things a bit, but it gives you a good idea of what is involved.  It's a rather simple process, albeit potentially messy.  For those that do this indoors........I am not responsible for the wrath that is sure to follow from your wife/husband/roomates. ;)

A few of the things I do differently are to use parchment paper instead of wax paper and to use a jig of sorts to keep the strips of material from "squirting" out when they are clamped.

Homemade mosaic pins.

Here's a quick and easy way to score your pins so that they "grip" when you glue them in place.
