Damascus Dirk
« on: December 02, 2020, 04:51:43 AM »
A cousin up in Buffalo NY was at an estate sale last week, and spotted this old dirk. He knows I like steel, so he bought it and gifted me with it. 10 inch blade of what appears to be hand crafted Damascus steel. Looks like a desert ironwood handle. The guard and butt cap are of the same steel. The spacers on the handle are copper wire. Well made, and much appreciated

That's a beauty, alright!   By strange coincidence, I was just watching a couple of videos on the Fairbairn-Sykes commando knife on YouTube last night.
