Don't give up.  Posting pics is easy when you get it down.  And a great pleasure to share yours.

1. You need to host your photos on photo sharing site. (Upload pics to whatever site.)
2. Copy code from that photo site for forums.
3. Paste code in your post.
4. Click preview to verify pic upload, your done.

There are a few photo sharing sites on the web and some have mobile apps for phones.
Photobucket, post image,  flickr, and the list goes on. Hope this helps.

On PB scroll to the pic.  got to top right corner.  A sprocket thingy will pop up.  Scroll down to Share links click.  scroll right to direct link click.  Go back to your post and click The Mona.  img bracket bracketimg  will appear.  put the pointer between the brackets right click.  a menu will drop click paste.  click preview down on right to see if it worked.

Have you successfully got a pic in library on PB?

If you are in Photoshop & open up the pic. To the right is a selection of how to share the photo with links. Copy the one that is the DIRECT link. When you get to the posting page here, left click on the Img box ( with the facein it) & when the lil box pops up, Right clik and Paste that DIRECT link in the box & clik OK. Don't worry that the existing "Https" is erased, you want it to be erased as the DIRECT link already has one.. Your pic should show up. One thing to remember. You have to have a cursor in the body of the post to do this. But it should work for ya.

G'luck, & don't get too frustrated. Take a break if it upsets ya. lol

I had problems today but figured it out. All these guys are right. Top right of picture in PB will have have a sprocket. Left click it and scroll down to share. Another window will pop up and go over to direct link and left click. Go back to your reply on here and click Mona Lisa. When the two img things pop up, right click and paste.

I should mention that I had to have both pages open to do this.

Hope this helps. I got frustrated today, but it will work eventually.

That is her my best buddy . Now i really feel stupid

Edit i did exactly like was suggested. When i try to click between the img brackets the cursor ends up outside the brackets. It has to be the device. I posted pics on another forum ( survival monkey) and it went through fine. So maybe my device in not capable of posting here. Anyways me posting pic is not going to happen using this thing. Tomorrow i will try on a machine at my office. If i can do it there i will be at a loss of where to go from there. Hillbilly thanks for the encouragement, greatly appreciated. Thank to everyone for the help and advice

I "miss the mark" sometimes trying to get in between those brackets on my laptop.  I imagine it's much harder on a smaller device.

I've had the same frustration when trying to paste between the img tags. What I do is, right after you click on the image icon to insert the tags, the img tags will be inserted with the cursor positioned between the start and end tags. Just press return / enter a few times to separate the tags. It's then easier to paste in your image link. Also, no need to cleanup any white space, the img tags can be on separate lines.

Here's how I use photobucket, maybe just a little different because of the camera I use.

Once I upload the pic to PB, I open two tabs- one for here and the second for PB.
Then I open the library that contains the picture I want to post here,
Hover over the pic and get the gear in the upper right corner,
Go down to the bottom option (copy image) and left click on that.  When it copies, the bar turns from white to yellow,
Then I click on the tab for here and click where I want the pic to be in my thread,
Hit the Control key (CTRL) and the letter "V"-  CTRL V
In my thread it will just show the image code until I preview or post the thread, but then the pic will be there.

If you want to post multiple pictures, all you have to do is go back and forth between tabs, copy the next image, come back to your thread and CTRL V each place you want a new pic to appear.

Hope that helps.  Hang in there, you'll get it!!!  It took a few times for me, and I honestly thought I was going to have to see a shrink before I got done, but it finally worked!

Also, sometimes I've had problems and just logged out of PB and tried again later.  I'm guessing they were doing some sort of site maintenance when I was trying and it just didn't work.  They don't advise when/if they are working on their site, by the way, so you don't know.

How can I get the picture to show up instead of the link??? All I can get to show up is the link.

I'm a computer idiot, but here's how I do it....

Open two browsers.  The first is here, logged in and with the new topic open and whatever comments I have going about the pic.  The second browser is photobucket, logged in and with the pic I want to share.

Once you select the pic you want to share, to the right of the pic is a box with 4 ways to share it.  The bottom one is the image code, if you click on that box, it will turn yellow and show "copied".

Then come back to your topic here, left click where you want to place the pic in your post, then hit the control key "CTRL" and an upper case "V".  That will paste the image code in your topic.  Once you are finished with your topic and hit the "Post" button at the bottom, the image link will convert to a picture in your posted reply or topic.  Hope that helps some!
