First trip of 2016
« on: June 12, 2016, 03:40:23 PM »
Was hot as all get out today but I finally felt like taking a trip down the river. My first trip down since my knee surgery and it was great to get out. Nothing to exciting other than the fact we got out and felt good afterwards. Very hot (95) very humid.

Nice to see other paddlers.

Tried to stay in the shade of the trees as much as we could.

Saw my friend the Heron too! We actually saw three but I could only photo this guy.

The swifts are still busy too.

There was a group of 10 boats getting in when we got to our stopping point. Nice to see folks out enjoying the sun.

Nice day!  :canoe:

Looks like a very pleasant paddle.

Looks like a great trip. That weather sounds familiar to my neck of the woods.

It did. We were off the water by 1:30. The afternoon was sweltering.

Glad you got out (and felt like getting out)! Looks like a beautiful place.

That would be tough on me with a paddle in one hand and rod & reel in the other ...

Glad you got out buddy.  I would have rolled the canoe on purpose with that heat and humidity.  Good pics

Looks nice! Was the water warm too, or cool enough to stick a foot in to cool off a bit?
