Quick Trip
« on: June 19, 2016, 12:50:18 PM »
Today the wife and I took a little trip on the Grand River. Heres some photos of the cruise.
The launch area on the river. The village has put a lot of money into the launch and park by it.

I believe these are either blue belles or forget me nots. I'm not sure.

Pillar of the old railroad trestle.

Interesting to see the previous water levels on the rocks

End of the line up river. The wife wasn't thrilled about the idea of a portage today.

Clam shells in the river

Back down river

We put in at Dimondale, and headed up river toward Eaton Rapids. It does have some shallow sections, and snags though. The water vastly lowered than when I was a kid. Has been since they took out the dam in dimondale.

Looks like a nice slow river to drift along in.
