We all know this guy by now, or should. I've been buying from him for a long time. you know  have a firesteel fetish. Can't Get enough of them LOL!!

Now the debate of ferrocerium vs mischmetal my be reopened. Here is a new offering from axeprice, for cheap!!

  I've got some of both,  they all work fine,  the real stuff throws hotter globs,  the mischmetal doesn't last as long but costs less, six of one and a half dozen of the other,  they both start fires as long as you use good tinder.

Personally I think these softer ones with the big globs would be a godsend in lighting birch bark. I always get it to light with my exotac rod but I have to try and try a few more times. These would settle in the pile and light it up.
