My First 2 hikes in the Woods in a Year
« on: December 15, 2016, 09:36:43 AM »
I finally gave up the cane for a walker.  Best thing I ever did.  I did 1.2 miles yesterday and almost 2 miles today.  Doesn't sound like much of a big deal.  Especially when you see the "trail".  But it was huge for me and Max.

It a new trail and Kelly has been hiking it for 3 weeks.  Hasn't seen one person.  Deer almost every day.

The management (State Conservation Area)  were kind enough to blaze the trail with white blobs... on both sides of the trees.  I can see the next blobs from here... and the next.

Whata great idea!  We wouldn't want someone losing the trail and getting lost in the 1 1/2 miles of thick wilderness between roads here.  Hey!  It could happen!

LOL.  Regardless.  It felt great to be hiking with my best buddy in the woods.  Count your blessings.

That's great Tony!  It's always good to smell the woods with the sun on your face again!  That is peace of mind with the trail markings.  You never know when it could get crazy and turn or something...hehe!

 Excellent :D A combination of arguably the best kind of physical and metal therapy :). But man, the things we take for granted these days...

Love to do a camp with you  if I'm in between surgeries when you come.  I'm much more mobile with the walker.  Going to Alafia Rendezvous and Buck Lake in Jan.

Bring  Redbeard.
