Mask for True Temper
« on: April 27, 2017, 05:46:41 PM »
While waiting to get stood up by a contractor this evening, I finished up a mask for my True Temper boys axe. I'm gonna rub the rough edges off and wax it yet but here it is. Made from Hobby lobby scraps. I'm rather proud of it. Karen said it was cute.

Cute wasn't what I was looking for but it did temper my anger toward folks that don't do what they tell you they are.

Nice job on that.  I need to make a couple and that style is great.

Don't you just love it when you've spent time measuring, designing & building a great looking piece of highly-functional, heavy-duty, built-to-last-forever outdoor gear and the best description your better half can come up with to describe is "CUTE?"

But.....now that you mention it, it IS kind'a cute! ;D   NICE WORK, 'creek!  :chopwood:

Looks sharp! I really like those rivets. I have some somewhere but just haven't thought of the right project to use them on yet. it'll come to me one day.

Nice job!

I think it's adorable myself!  Yeah I'm liking the copper rivets too creek.  Looks good allround.  The two tone of the strap being different is a neat touch as well.

Accountability is perhaps the greatest lesson in life, some people never learn that one though... good luck on it.

It really is a nice looking & completely useful mask. I like it & now that ya made it & showed it here, I think I will have to try to make a few with some scraps around here too.

Nothing like a little motivation & inspiration by example, is there?
;)

Thanks for sharing the pics & anecdotes! LOL  It is right fine!

I love being out in the woods!   I like this quote from Mors Kochanski - "The more you know, the less you carry". I believe in the same creed, & think  "Knowledge & honed skills" are the best things to carry with ya when you're out in the wilds. They're the ultimate "ultralight" gear! ;)
