Slow going on the water this weekend but was nice to be out. 78 degrees but the sun blazing!

Ran into a little Blue Heron. Nice to know they are building their families. He's kinda hard to see. I figure he was about 12 inches tall.

I ran into this little dwelling as well. Decided to leave it the hell alone :)

My favorite trestle. It's been around a while.

Nothing to exciting but way better than tv  :canoe:

I agree a lot better than tv. The family and I went to a museum in the forest and checked on a few trails I'm gonna backpack this fall.

My son is in from school. We took a little ride on the river this morning. We had a blast, no matter how dissatisfied I look in this photo. They sure grow up fast. We made up for a lot of time apart in these 2 hours.

I'm glad you are having a nice visit with Patrick, but what in God's name are you doing wearing a Yankee's shirt?

You're about as Yankee as grits and chicken fried steak.
Upon this a question arises: whether it be better to be loved than feared or feared than loved? One should wish to be both, but, because it is difficult to unite them in one person, it is much safer to be feared than loved.

Went on the flat water today. Was very sunny till we got there.

Hibicus and cat tails will be entertaining us soon

Took some old friends along too.

July 4th outing!

The weather was iffy but we had a nice ride. The sun was hot when the clouds weren't hiding it and we had a good flow. Wasn't able get any animal pics but we saw a lot of activity as we traveled.

We stayed on the river for about 2 1/2 hours and it started raining 15 minutes after we got out. Was a great day.
