SOLD 5" Blade knife
« on: April 01, 2012, 08:00:43 PM »
SOLD

This is one I made back when I first started. It didn't sell when I originally listed it. I have hung onto it for months and decided to clear it out today so I can buy more materials. So I'm letting it go for $100.00 off the original price! Originally I listed this knife and sheath for $225.00

This knife and sheath I'm selling for $125 plus shipping (in medium flat rate priority mail box).

I feel as though my work has significantly improved since I made this knife, however the design is one I like a lot and might revisit one day.

Blade is 5/32" thick O1
Yellow G10 liners
Bolivian Rosewood scales
1/8" brass pins
1/4" brass lanyard tube
flat grind with secondary edge bevel

That's a sweet looking knife PW.  If I hadn't spent the last week taking the kids to get caught up on doctor appointments....... ..

Hope that moves fast for you!

Actually, no I don't...I hope it sits around for a while instead...

I meant it in a good way!  If I can get caught up from the doctor bills...$846 to get glasses and contacts for my twins, UGH

Is it still a model in your line up?

That looks pretty good for first starting. I really like that design I hope you make more like it.

Thanks guys. It's kind of a one-off I made when I first started. I want to revisit the design some time when I get a chance. I haven't made more of them because this one never sold so I figured the design wasn't going to be very popular.

Funny how what people like and what they will buy are two different things...

This will sell though and it is a good looking knife.  Great deals like this come up when I'm broke,  My birthday is at the end of June and I'm planning to get a custom knife one way or another :)

Is this the only knife you have available at the moment?  I have the itch for a new knife and still way down on Iz's wait list so I can probably get away with buying something new now. :)

Thanks for asking! :)

I have this Intrepid for sale:

And I am working on a "fancy" woodlore that will  be finished sometime in the next few days.

Nice.  I will be on the look-out for this.  I'm looking for something different.  The 5" blade in this post is nice and I love the Intrepid but not quite pleasing to my itch.  PM incoming on something else I have on my mind.

I gave this to my son for his birthday.  He is a great kid and does more for me around the house than I realize.  I do not usually buy "big" gifts for any of my kids but I felt like I needed to this year for my boy.  He is doing well in school, the Boy Scouts (almost an Eagle) and as I mentioned he does a lot for me.

You should have seen his eyes when he got it.  He was so surprised and he never thought he would get a quality knife like this.

(I got to say that I really like this knife, too!  The blade is shaped in a very attractive way and the handle is simple but perfect!  The yellow liners really make enough pop to catch the eye!  I am about to start making my first knife and I think I am going to design my knife blade very similar to this blade.)

That's great Matt.  I bet he was surprised.  That's a great gift from father to son.  I think you may have started an heirloom in the family.
