Posting a redirect thread here in General Discussion, where new members are most likely to read first.
Forum Rules, Mission Statement, and Code of ConductThis links to the same rules that were previously at the top of the forum, however it occurred to me that Google was putting our rules first in their search results because I had titled them "read this first".
This meant that potential new members who were searching for a place to discuss blades and bushlore might think we are a bunch of overbearing authoritarians and decide not to join. I don't want a bunch of things you
can't do to be the first impression we put forward, so I am changing the title of that section to remove the "read this first" part in hopes we look a little better in google's search results. We are one of the more relaxed forums around so a "rules first" impression isn't really accurate for the way we run things around here.
That said, if you are a new member, or if you haven't looked at the rules for a few months, it is a good idea to read through them for occasional changes. As the site expands and we make more changes to it, the terms of service sometimes need to be updated as well.
