Going to be 17 degrees here in Yakima tomorrow night.
Going to be 10ish Degrees colder in the Mountains, going out to test some new gear.
Anybody else taking advantage of the cold front to get out?
I was on a 5 week road trip sept-oct, Wa,Ore,Nev,Utah,Az,Idaho,Mont,Wy.
But it was all pretty fair Weather, except Wy, where I got some snow.
Bears all over in the Tetons.
Got to take a Desert Course with Tony Nester at Ancient Pathways while in Az.
The class before me was the S.E.R.E. Instructors from Fort Bragg.
Tony told me they were mostly using Mora style knives.
Stay Warm...........

I am hunting in the cold but not camping out.  My tent and stove are long gone and I ain't going out in minus 13 except to sit in my tree stand for as long as I can stand it and can still pull back my bow.

Sounds like you had an interesting few weeks.

Hope you gear testing goes well and let us know what you do or did.
