Thanksgiving Eve
« on: November 22, 2017, 02:23:14 PM »
Everyone will have family and things to do, I have a "crew" coming tomorrow, so I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy thanksgiving, and I am sure that no one will over eat... right!

I have spent weeks training all for tomorrow. Double green chili cheese burgers, large chocolate malts, four plate Chinese food buffets all consumed in anticipation of tomorrows meal.

Thank you.

Happy Thanksgiving to everybody!

Getting to the age that I'm fading in and out of being "In the moment" reminiscing about holidays gone by.

Our assigned dishes are squash casserole,  sausage balls,  oyster casserole,  and Doodle cake.

Kelly's setting up the Christmas tree right now. I have to admit... it's cheery.

Very happy Thanksgiving everybody!!

I have a large home and make decent money. I'm having close to 30 guests to share the holidays between Thursday and Saturday. My wife is an excellent cook.

It means a great deal to me to have so many friends and relatives join us for Thanksgiving. Looking forward to the Parade in the AM. I'm working tonight so I'll probably sleep through most of it. LOL!

I tape balloons to the ceiling in the hallway. Each balloon has a paper in it. The kids shoot the balloons with a blowgun and get whatever is in the balloon they pop. Sort of a shoot till you win deal. No worries it's just sheet rock and the holes are easy to fix. LOL!! Money and candy prizes.

We're having 52 lbs of turkey(2 honeysuckles), 4 lbs of stuffing (bread dehydrated in our Nesco), 25 lbs of mashed taters (grown locally), home ground Cranberry sauce, pumpkin bread, banana bread, and vanilla ice cream or sherbet in cranberry juice.

Looks like the weather is going to be decent as well. I'm almost 30 miles north of everyone. I'm hoping we can go through the "lights on the lake" at Onondaga parkway. Be safe everyone!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.

We are having our neighbors over for dinner tomorrow and having what I hope is a quiet day.

That sounds like up state NY to me. I left there in Jan, 1963 to join the service and never really went back.

We had a great dinner, lots of good food, a lot of good conversation, some laughs, and drank a bottle of wine.  I should have set the scale back 15 pounds.

Just finished the dishes except for the big turkey roaster.  Its soaking.  Wonderful day and the weather is pretty  good too.   :fire1:

My  youngest son and his crew showed up, we ate a lot did some hikes ran the atv around and then last night had a roaring fire in the front yard fire pit and had a "Black Friday" hot dog roast, followed by the obligatory burned marshmallows.
