Thanks man.  I like to mishmash up tradition a lot.  Heck nessy's original trio doesnt work for everyone.  I also wanted to post this as a pretty inexpensive option for new shrafters

Svord ~$10
Mora 2K ~$30 (less if used obviously for all this)
Mountain Bowie $15

So for a decent kit that is pretty easy to learn, inexpensive, and bomb proof, a Ulysses (or less) will get you hooked up!

I like your 3 knife set up.  for most if not all part of the world that set up would work just fine.
In some of the Colder places a Axe is nice to have over a longer knife, but Your set up will get
most of it done.

I could, and have, put together many different  trios, and quads.  Nessmuk used what he had.  I try to do that too.   8)
My last camping trip, I took these along.
