Quenchcrak Inspired Bowie
« on: June 09, 2017, 06:26:11 PM »
I enjoyed watching the progress of the Bowie "conversion" in Quenchcrack's thread.  I enjoyed it so much that I made this.  Farrier's file Bowie - - -

Very Cool, Crash!  From what animal did that bone come?
I guess he'd rather be in Colorado.

Not 100% sure, but I believe it is from a cow.

I have to be honest, the end of that bone handle grosses me out. Very nice blade and sheath though!

Love that handle!  It surely won't slip out of your hand when you pull the blade out of something gooey.  ;D

I can't add much to what has already been said, but I like how you melded the historic and the modern embellishments in this Bowie design.....just gorgeous! :hail:

Beautiful! I think the bone's natural "flare" shape lends itself well to being used as a handle. Great blade profile too.
