A tobacco tin and tinder box.

Picked up a couple of things.  One is gear so I put it here.  The other could be gear but will probably just wind up on a shelf with other older collectables.

The red tin is a Hudson's Bay Company tobacco tin.  There is a bit of the original tax seal on the lid and the wording on the top is still legible.  The stamped writing on the bottom is interesting.  It says

"The Governor and Company of Adventurers of England Trading Into Hudson's Bay"

There is no date on the tin except that the tax seal has 1915 on it but that could be the date the tax was enacted and not when the tin was made.

The other item is a tin plate reproduction tinder box with a magnifying glass to light the tinder should it be sunny.  These are made by Ted Cash and TDC is stamped in small letters on the bottom of the tin.

I was quite pleased to find these.
