I call this knot the carrick bend loop. The lower
knot is a lanyard/diamond knot for size comparison.

Thanks AS.  I have a winch on my ATV and synthetic cable is on the winch.  I also use a couple of shorter (12' and 24') synthetic winch cables when I need extra length.  The carrick bend loop appears to be a strong knot that I could tie in each end of the synthetic cables to hook onto the winch hook and a couple of accessory hooks.  This is a neat knot.
