BUILD AN ALCOHOL STOVE

There are many types online. Too many variations to show them all. zenstoves.net is probably the best overall resource i've found yet...

i prefer simple, easy to build stoves for the most part. here's a couple of examples:

tealight alcohol stove (needs a pot stand)

potted meat stove (no pot stand required)

2 rows of sixteen holes, about a 1/4 inch apart. basically you need a lot of holes, play around and figure out what works for you.

it ain't pretty, but hey, you're getting ready to set it on fire, remember?

and finally a single can stove, made from a 12 oz redbull can.

cut can in half

cut bottom of can

cut top of can a little taller than bottom (about 1/2 inch or so)

both halves done

dent top of can using fingers and thumb

go all the way around and it should look like this

put the two halves together

it was a little too tall and wouldn't send flames out the side bends

so i shortened both halves

success!

have fun and try different options.

POST UP YOUR STOVES!!!

WI_Woodsman:
Cool project this month BH, you have some stoves I've never seen before!   ;)

diogenes:
This gives me an excuse to build more stoves. >:D

PetrifiedWood:
I'll see what kind of materials I can round up. I have some thick aluminum beer bottles that will make a sturdy stove. Just have to figure out what kind of stove to build.

For anyone wanting to try something new, this guy's got some interesting designs.
