Camp lashing

For this month's project I'm illustrating lashing a small camp table. All that was used was shear lashings.



i made two bipods for the legs, using four forked sticks





then i made the table top, using four sticks shear lashed at each end, with the cross pieces sandwiched in between





i leaned one bipod up against a tree, and drove the legs of the second one into the ground, putting everything at the same height.

then i put the table on top of the bipods



and that's it! here it is with my small camp kitchen on it. i enjoyed some pine needle tea, which i'd never had before.
