ouch. That doesn't sound like fun at all.

I certainly hope it isn't the last of the Oz Clan. I can't find anyone else I know that wants to head out in to the bush w/out an Airstream in tow...

it wasn't a bad outing -- better than most state parks I've been in.
the weather was great, food better than tolerable, 2 people brought dogs, food comas Friday and Saturday, etc...
And there is talk of a North Central-ish meetup in Nov.

*sneaking in*  Umm.. how FAR N. Centralish?  :) :)     I hope you guys keep on doing meetings...     I do like reading up on them and seeing photo's , hearing stories..ect   Someday I'll be able to get to one.  Its on my bucket list. :)

On particularly rough days when I'm sure I can't possibly endure, I like to remind myself that my track record for getting through bad days so far is 100% and that's pretty good.

You're always more than welcome anytime. I don't host any meetings, only because I am all alone out here in western Kansas, I am sure one of the others will chime in!

Pardon the intrusion from the northern side of our shared 40th parallel, but are you anywhere near the spot where Tom Nixon made his famous record 'stand' in 1873?   That area and Meades Ranch are two places on my 'bucket list' of places to visit! :)
The only chance you got at a education is listenin' to me talk!

If you're talking about Dodge city, its about 2 hours from where I live. Meades Raches or the geodetic base point is about an hour and a half. I am sure you know more about both than I but it would be cool to see also.
