Wild Berries

You know how to tell when the wild berries are ripe..?  All the piles of bear poop are full of seeds..:)

...and Max shows up around camp stinkin' of bear poop.  He must want to highlight his hair or something.

Lots of bears this year, I had a female with two cubs that hung around in the ravine just below the house for about a week.

Out walking last week and ran into a big bear, this guy was not intimidated by my dogs, I managed to grab my Shepherd, a d drag her off before things got ugly. 

The stumps in my horse pastures have been all torn up.  I usually have a lot of range stock go through, none this year so all of the trails through the deep grass are made by bears.
