Camp Blanding is a National Guard base in Starke, Florida. It has a rich history. During WWII it was classified as the fourth largest city in Florida. The base sits on Kingsley Lake (an old, old sink hole) that is spring fed. Mrs. Crash and I make use of it from time to time. Tent camping, RV sites and cottages. Here are a few pictures from our latest stay. We rented one of the cottages, did some kayaking and swimming. It is our go to place for total relaxation.

Nice photos Crash. The Sandhill crane shots are great and I presume the Egret is a Greater Egret. The sky pictures are terrific and one can imagine sitting there watching the last rays of light (or the coming of dawn).
