I contacted a friend of ours who lives in Tennessee.  They had tree damage and power outages.  They noted that 60 + people were killed in Kentucky and parts of Tennessee.  They felt fortunate to have escaped significant damage where they are.

I saw a tornado when i was real young.  Even across the cornfield it was scary.  I'll take a hurricane any day over a tornado..
huh?

News reports say that debris was sucked up as far as 30,000 ft.  That's unbelievable!

My only experience with tornadoes was in Az many years ago. Watched from a mountain summit as one formed and touched down in the valley some miles away. Wasn't huge and didn't last long but the damage was substantial. Cannot image what folks went through back East. I wish the speedy recovery

My friends son lost the entire candle factory where he worked. One of the employees, trapped in the building and covered with an acid, Slit his own throat. I cant imagine the unbearable torture he must have endured. I'm hearig the amazon employees weren't allowed to seek safety. It's a crazy world we are living in for sure.
