This is where the Monthly Projects will be posted from now on, as it will be easier to keep them in order, and together :)

Wow, in two years I've only done 2 of 22 monthly projects...  ??? that's pretty lame.

Time to try to knock out all the other projects.. Anybody else who wants to try as well to give me some motivation?

How bout I mail a "Vintage" B&B patch to the first other person to do them all?

..maybe we can get some new projects going as well!

I wanna try this (don't need a patch though). Gonna take me maybe a week or two...
Would be cool to see how many of the project-results we could get into one pic! :D

Awesome Jon!  Challenge accepted!

I'm sure you can tie quite a few things together..
Already started my spoon, which I'm sure can be used for cooking outdoors.

I actually feel bad for not doing these, not because I've been a lazy azz, cause I'm not generally a lazy guy, I feel bad cause several folks spent time and effort to post the projects for the Forums benefit and I didn't appreciate those efforts by participating in the projects...

Hmmm, there must be someone I can blame for my lack of participating...lem me think on this for awhile, I'll get back to you all with the answer real soon... I promise

Thanks for the kick in the pants JTD, your in my sites ...lol  >:D

No worries Zammer, I'm right there with ya.  Lets get it done!

These where great exercises that kinda died off 6 months ago, so lets bring them back.  Honestly I kinda forgot about them until the FFF patch thing..

BTW..  I got a Project for  August 14 if the Mods don't mind.

Thats pretty cool, did you use an epoxy of sorts to attach the capsule? looks like you now have a built in tinder holder for it

Thanks. I didn't use epoxy (cause I couldn't find it). I used something called multibond.
This wasn't my idea btw. There's a company that makes ferrorods with hollow handles for tinder. Loved the idea, but they cost WAAAAAY too much for me, so I made one for myself. :)

Oh, and here's Jun13: (sorry for the bad pic)

Cool I've actually done all the above - except the 32oz bottle survival it - although as a soldier I made up many PSK's in tobacco tins so does that count??

That's very cool Jon, I really like that!  It's very practical and makes both more useful- especially when cold weather comes around to have something substantial to hold on to...very good!!

Thanks Dano! :)

Another one done:

Broke off a bit at the bottom, so I had less to work with than anticipated. Also misjudged the length of cord required. Oh well, live and learn. :)

I see there's one project that I'm gonna skip. It's the Aug13 one (find/collect from natural water source). The reason I'm skipping it, is that you'll find drinkable water just about anywhere around here.

Btw, anyone else going to join in on this? :)

? ? ?     10 months since this topic was made & the Monthly Project method was changed from separate topics for each months project, to just a single topic for them, & not a lot of activity with the monthly projects topic since.  At least it seems to me that it is not as active as in the past...

Of course, I offer "MANY THANKS!" to those who have participated this year in this topic for your posting up your doings. Outstanding that ya took the time to share!
:)

But, I kind of miss seeing these projects each month, & doing most of them. This new format of keeping them in one topic doesn't seem to be doing all that well as compared with the old method of having them separated into monthly projects.

Maybe a "re-think" about this would be a good idea?

I don't think this was about changing the format, only about trying to get through all the challenges that have been posted to date. (still haven't managed it)
My bad for putting them all in this thread though. I probably should have put them in their proper threads. :(
As for new challenges... Any ideas? :)

Oh, and I know it kinda looks like it from the wording of the first post, but I think he's talking about the "monthly Projects" sub forum,  and not this thread in particular. :)

I think the original post (if I remember correctly) was made before we had a separate section for monthly projects. In any case it certainly isn't a problem if people want to post their projects in here, but normally we'd want those projects posted in their individual monthly threads where they might get more views.

Not sure how I missed Jon's posts back in August, but nice work! I am glad people are still enjoying these even if interest in them seems to have waned overall.
