Fishing the Etowah - Pic Heavy
« on: June 29, 2012, 11:01:37 AM »
I've had a couple days off this week and had more than the usual time to spend at the river. The Etowah, one of the major rivers of N Georgia, runs just south of where I live. Very convenient for a morning or evening hours or two of fishing! Here are a few pictures from the last couple days:

Great shots man.  That's great you have a place like that so close.  I bet when your boy's a little older he spends all his summer days there

+1 on this. Thanks for sharing all the great pics of that beautiful countryside. I see a little HDR in the last one. I detect a photographer in the midst.

Thanks guys. We are blessed to have a beautiful place so close and not too crowded. The boy in the picture is my oldest son, Jack. He's about to turn four and is not as interested in fishing as he is in throwing tocks in the water. We always have a great time though!
This river is supposedly loaded at certain times of the year with stripers, but I've yet to catch one. My goal is to find a narrow, clear, deep, overlooked stream near my home that no one else knows of and yields a great catch every time I fish it! Too much to ask for maybe?   8)
