Going fishing this weekend...

I am going fishing this weekend to a place called Hatheume Lake. The local fishing mapbook says 3-4lb rainbows are pulled out of there consistently, and up to 10lbs frequently. It is managed as a trophy lake; single barbless hook, limit of 1 fish per day, and you can't keep anything smaller than 20".

So, I plan on taking the camera and hopefully I will have some pictures to post next week. The weather is supposed to be 30, 32, and 35ish so I may not survive. If I do, I will report back.

I plan on taking a few axes as well and hopefully finding a birch tree to bring home for carving handles.

Good Luck fishing~!  Looking forward to some pics!  You are going with a 5-7 wt yes?   :P  keep us posted.

Thanks guys. I'll be using a 5 and a 6, and I am bringing a 5 and a 7 for my friend. Not a cloud in the sky today, this Okanagan weather is deadly. See you in a few days.

(And look into some Ash for those handles... I'd personally pick it over birch... Just MHO...)

It was so busy that we had to go with our plan C lake, caught only a few small fish, came home a day early, and I managed to delete the pictures.
