Title: LJ Tracker Knife
Post by: LumberjackDK on December 29, 2016, 08:41:31 AM
Hey BC USA;)

Merry Christmas and happy New Year from Denmark:)

This is a Little Chrismas gift to myself - I have always wanted to test myself in making a Tracker knife - so now was the time.

I own a Tom Brown T1 - but think it's to heavy and the handle is not that good for diffrent grips. so this I wanted to change on my own design.

I like the Draw method for featherstick so the 'hook' had to be more aggressiv.

The T1 bevel is big and round - mine I did more narrow and with a point.

Overall I did alot of small ajustment and think i liked better. The Handle I used alot of time on so I feels good in the hand with alot of diffrent gribs ect.

Did a 'coke-bottle' grip for better control. Also did Thump Scallops for better grib.

Info:

Steel - O1

Blade - 160mm

Handle - 140mm

Thickness - 4,5mm

scales - Olive with leather liniers

Some pics - enjoy:

 Agreed, that wood looks SEXY  8). The blade reminds me a lot of the knife used by the antagonist in the movie "The Hunted". :)

That is a great looking knife Lumberjack!!        I can't imagine the grind time it took to turn that out, it had to be a lot of work.  And those have to be some of the best looking scales I've ever seen.  I love Olive wood!

Beautiful knife.  Wrong forum.  The hazards of copy and paste I imagine.

Nice knife! Fire your editor though.  8)

On a more serious note, TBTs have never been my cup of tea, but this looks like a nice example. The scales are really nice.
