Title: Blade Types
Post by: downstream on February 11, 2017, 07:10:58 PM
I get confused when reading about blade types.
Can someone post some photos of knives with the following blade types.
Clip,Drop, Needle, Trailing and Straight Back.

I never heard needle point as a shape, only a feature meaning: pointy sharp. I could be wrong with this as well- the spear point in the pic is not what comes to mind, which is something more Dagley(sp.) or kepharty.

Do you have a chart for multiple names of the same things or same name used for different shapes?

To my way of thinking this is a 'spear point' blade shape....

The 'needle point' blade shape would be embodied in a stiletto or dagger like the well-known British Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knife.....

Wolfy...Wolfy... I'm seriously concerned about how much free time retirement has afforded you, and its effects.
