Title: Can you identify these classic makes and models.
Post by: onehikes on April 21, 2017, 10:28:40 AM
Inside the Display Case is a collection of knives I have acquired from Knife and Gun Shows, the internet and garage sales and flea markets. The new knives, steel and materials are great but to me Classic knives are an Art Form that cuts. I love the old made in USA Classic knives and Classic knives produced in Germany, Sweden, and Japan among others.

This display changes from time to time.

Sorry for my mistake in putting the link to my site with the descriptions on the knives and the prices. I will try to build 2 display cases one on my website with everything and one that has the descriptions and no pricing. Good site I enjoy the forum.

So what is #4?  The sheath looks pretty awful, but the blade interests me.

I think it is a schrade(4) too. Not sure really. maybe it'd a gerber or ...buck?
I was leaning toward #1 being Old Henry. But lgm is right i'd bet. I think they still make models close to that.

Good old #6. Probably my most lusted after knife when I was a kid. I never did get one though.
  Is #8 a case.

I don't know the model # maybe I can find it. I know it is a Scharde / Old timer. My old hunting buddy has one. It gave him 11 stitches once after I sharpened it. >:D
I think it is still in production.
