These cans are pricey and I understand that they may not be legal in California BUT what is.....

Anyway I have 2 10 liter cans but will get a 20 liter. WHOOPS 2.5 gallon and 5 Gallon for my Yankee cousins.
In Canada Princess Auto has these.
I don't have the rig for overlanding but I will add some off road capability to my Ram 1500 and do some truck camping for travelling to shooting matches. Next step in a bed tent with no floor.
Enjoy.

I use 5 gallon (20 liter) "race" cans. They are square with a large center cap and some have a fitting to add a dispenser hose to the cap.
I have used these since 1986 when we used them at the mx bike races. These days they are full of diesel or gasoline at the farm. I bought one of them new one gallon size cans with the filler nozzle that takes three hands and the instruction book to use. It won't be around long.

There are no safeties on the MFCs but they are pricey. I suspect they borrowed some of the design from the race world.

the 20 liter cans like the one in the photo are from $25 to $50 depending on the manufacturer and/or vendor. The one shown was $30 on sale a few years ago I think.
