Title: Bushcraft Girl goes stalking with the Red Devil (SUP Expedition Prep)
Post by: susannewilliams on July 24, 2014, 02:10:25 AM
I am making the last preparations for my 7 day SUP / Bushcraft expedition in Poland.

So up at around 04:30 to spend some quality time on my awesome Red Devil (Fanatic iSUP) that is my expedition board.

Sleep on the board is great,  it is also just indestructable and a HEAP of fun.

I also play the Native American Flute on this video....

My food plan...

I have about 2000-2300 calories per day between 3 meals and 2 liters of a special athletic drink / marching tea that I drink throughout the day.

Otherwise its hard to get the calories in and not have digestive distress.

Main constituents:
Palmin coconut fat. - Da BOMB 225kcal per 25gr block. Great mouthfeel
Nuts - Cashews - always
Chia seeds - Da BOMB
Sustained Energy - Atheletic fuel for endurance events - Da BOMB
Chaga tea - Da BOMB
Protein drink - for recovery mostly - Ho hum
Oats - Ho hum

Breakfast:
Oats with maple syrup, Palmin, chia seeds
Maybe some bacon with roast nuts depending if I can be bothered
Coffee/Chaga with Palmin

Marching tea:
Palmin
Maple Syrup
Lemon Juice
Cayenne
Chia seeds
Chaga / Coffee leftover from breakfast
Sustained Energy

This gives almost 1000 calories during the day...

Lunch
Cheese
Maybe a fruit bar

Dinner
For taste sensations I have some soup and flour for making bannock
Maybe I will have caught a fish

Soup with more Palmin
Fruit bar for dessert
Schaps
Protein drink

You should go on a canoe trip with us Florida boys. We bring half the grocery store and a butcher shop. Always time for good grub. That's a big part of our experience. We put on weight along the paddle. Lol.

Awesome!!! My fave thing is actually hunting trips based on the water....

Canoe = Much Yummy Food. (Including good whisky)

I agree. Where I Bow hunt I usually take my canoe or yak to it. Just makes the whole experience even better.  It's great to see a young lady as enthusiastic about this degree of outdorsmanship as you are. Have a safe trip.

What did you do there, Susanne.....chase everybody else off?  :hail:     You appear to be the only one that's ever out there on the water. :canoe:

Absolutely. Go all the way. Be worthy of it...

I Do love to fish and hunt very much.

Favourite way to hunt - Bow

Favourite way to fish - Blue water spearfishing...
(Not for this trip though......)

This trip its just my wilderness spinning rod, a few chads/jigs and lure and even a little float for bait...

Oh yeah!

Yeah it's amazing isn't it. I do usually go very early before the wind starts...

but the lake is also "No Motorboats" and that keeps a lot of people away...

On a busy day the shore may be crowded but the water,....never.

Paradise.

Most welcome buddy. I am really glad that you guys are liking these. I just film what thrills me and then cut the noisy parts out and publish...

No frills...
