Assault (packs), batteries not included
« on: April 18, 2012, 04:26:11 PM »
I just got these three molle 3 day assault packs in.  They were filthy and dirty but the buckles and zippers are all functional and no tears or rips to the rucks.

I cleaned them up a bit, but because of their non-pristine nature I'm offering them for $30 shipped anywhere in the lower 48.

First come, first pick, the one with the black fast-ex buckles is probably a bit older than the other two.  They rushed the early ones out in the first gulf war with the black buckles, the later ones got tan.  I do have a set of replacement buckles in the tan color for an additional $5.00 for the one with the black buckles.

I can ship elsewhere but there will be an up-charge.

Very nice.  That black-buckle one is kind of a icon.  Too bad I'm now broke with ALICE stuff!  Sure those'll go fast.

For those who have not worn one of these or are on the fence, they are extremely comfortable.  I am about 5'10"/185 and mine fits me very well.  Even loaded heavily, it's very comfortable.

Do these come with the pad and stiffener?

That pack for that price delivered, is a great deal IMO.

Yeah, I am 6' 2" and 290.. doubtful they will fit me well no matter how much I like them.  *sigh*

Not sure I'd say that too quick, the straps have quite a bit of adjustibility  to them.  If you get to thinking about one, shoot me a PM and I'll measure the straps or maybe wilderbeast can offer some enlightenment in that direction.  It might hit you kinda high in the back though.

I only have one pad and frame sheet, it will go with whichever pack sells first.

As to how it would fit a person 6' 2" and 290 I can't guarantee it will fit you, but it is designed to go over body armor, so it has a pretty wide range of adjustment.

Not a problem, I'll hold it for you until then if you want it.

Beast-

I think Son of Beanbag would like something like this.

I'll take which ever of the two non-black buckle packs is in better condition.

This comes with the pad and frame sheet right?

That's correct, first one to sell gets the pad and frame sheet.  I'll send you a PM with payment info.

There are two packs left.

One with black buckles and one with tan.

Neither has a pad and frame sheet.

Hi guys,

My pop's gave me permission to reply to this post. I've been using the pack for all purposes whether it be school or the woods. If you are considering buying one (if there are any left), I will scold you for not. It is the best pack i have ever used for everyday use and short hikes with the dog.

Thanks,
Son Of Beanbag

One packet of ritt green dye and some hot water and you have a woodland green pack.  It actually works pretty good going from the desert camo to woodland.

Rec'd the pack I ordered a couple of days ago & am VERY satisfied. I am about to talk to my oldest son tomorrow & ask if he wants one also. He likely carried one like it as a Combat medic in Iraq. I haven't asked him about things like that much, since I let him talk of those type of things on his own time.

If you want the last one & it is not sold already.... Ya may want to act fast.. Or the last one may be gone...

I will know tomorrow.. If it is not gone/spoken for already...

If ya don't decide to purchase this item from Wilderbeast, I will say that he is a reputable, "stand-up" businessman. & I am completely satisfied with  his customer service , quality of goods & prompt delivery.

BTW.. I also rec'd a brand new USMC First Aid Pouch in the bag, as just a surprise gift from Wilderbeast!..  I didn't even know it was in there until Wilderbeast let me know...Almost lost it to the Garbage man... It was in the pack, but fell out during shipping & I only expected the Pack, so one I took the pack out, I wadded up the mailing bag & tossed it... Thnx to Wilderbeast, I got it before it was gone forever...
  to him!

He's a great one folks... Not too many around that go a lil extra for their "people" like he does.. Not many of them around any more.. Do business with him if ya can.. "Outstanding!", is all I can say!

I actually have two right now, one with tan buckles, one with black.

As previously stated, they are dirty but fully functional.  You will want to give it a good cleaning and airing out before use.

First come, first served.  $30 shipped in the USA.  I'll ship internationally, but it'll be a bit more.
