Pigpen and Licklog Falls (June 28, 2017)
« on: July 10, 2017, 11:54:58 AM »
I don't get nearly as much free time as I used to but when I do, I still like to try to go out hiking to see waterfalls.  June 28, I got a couple of hours to myself and decided to go somewhere new.  So off to Pigpen and Licklog falls I went.  Here is my adventure.

Lots of pretty flowers on the side of the road and along the trail.

I had to "ford" across a stream in my Taurus.

Not a flower but still pretty.

A couple of snacks.

25 Foot Pigpen Falls

Upper tier of the 80 foot Licklog falls.  Hard to see from all the vegetation.

I had to climb down to the river here to see the bottom tier of the falls.

Bottom tier of the 80 foot Licklog falls.

The falls end right in the river but I wasn't prepared to swim across for pictures showing this.

On the way back to the car, I made myself lunch.  Steak, red and green bell peppers, onion, sweet potato, and blackberries.

Thanks for viewing!

Nice pics.  Most people don't realize SC actually has some mountain scenery.

Nice bunch of photos.  Thanks, I could almost smell the food.

Pretty country you have there.....I've only been in the area a couple of times, but the scenery is fantastic just about everywhere you go.

I like stuff cooked 'caveman-style,' too......no dishes to do and great flavors come through that you don't get any other way!
