Greenhorn in Montana
« on: August 05, 2017, 05:22:01 PM »
My wife's nephew came to visit our son this summer.  After working his tail off with homestead chores, it was time to get in some recreation.  The last time he was out here he was 9 years old.  He climbed on a train headed for Montana the day after he graduated high school, off on a new adventure.

Went fishing.

Fell in the lake.

Went for a boat ride.  At 6'5" and 290 pounds he kinda filled up the boat.

Caught some fish.

Montana boat launch:

The mud was deeper than the water.

So after all that, I took him up to the fish hatchery to see where all those fish came from, and a look at what might have been!

In the end, he went home with a bag full of smoked trout to share with his Mom and brother.
I think he had a good visit.

Thanks for looking.

Looks like a great time.

I wish you were, too!  I need a fishin' buddy I can relate to, and who knows how to bait his own hook.  :P
