B n B's true color?
« on: June 22, 2012, 09:49:13 PM »
I dont know where to ask this , so if it needs moving go ahead..  just let me know where it goes.

What is the true colors of this site?

The reason I ask is...  I got a new monitor.  And um...  before this place was tans and browns.. now its oh I dunno.. pea soup green going down in variance to greenish grey.....     Top bar looks black..  'start new topic' bar is brown....sorta....   lol

I didnt realize how dark my old monitor was...   so now I'm just curious to know if I'm seeing the right colors or do I need to adjust this monitor?

Its not NEW new.. its new to me.  Dell.

Hmm....

Well we have a blue/grey background that fades a little lighter as you go up to the top bar, which is black. The bars separating the boards and posts are kind of a liver color. Post backgrounds are an off white color for the most part.

When we first started up it was pretty bright but I toned things back a bit so the forum didn't look like a cell phone flashlight app. :D

I'd post a screen shot but if you view it on the same monitor it will look the same anyway. The best thing to do is look at a picture of something you are familiar with, like your favorite soda can or cereal box, and adjust your monitor until that looks "right" to your eyes, then your monitor should display B&B correctly. :)

LOL Smokewalker.. smarty.

I will admit I might be in sunstroke mode.. I'm burnt to a crisp on my arms, neck, chest, nose...   Spent waaaay to much time in the garden today.   I finally had to quit when I couldnt see and the mosquitoes were after me....

So this monitor altho MUCH brighter.. is off in color.....   where do I find color adjustment buttons?

On mine there is a series of buttons along the bottom center of the frame. You burned your chest? You going topless again?  :D Get a hat with a big brim & cover up to much sun can lead to and early dirt nap. Been 99 here Tue weather guesser says 108  :P

Oh my gosh.. I've never noticed those buttons down there... I just squished my monitor to about four inches across..   lol...      I shouldnt play with buttons... this is a bad thing.....

No not topless... quit that when I realized how many sattelites are up there and a private airport two miles south..grrrr ........   but low enough to to hit fresh flesh and now it hurts..    Line burns hurt the worst...     and I dont have any aloe on hand...

70's here.. but clear blue sky...   kinda deceiving....

I believe that the color you are seeing on your monitor was especially selected for you by the administrators, MnS.........there was even some discussion about the selection of a special shade of mauve being applied exclusively to your account.  That's just the scuttlebutt that I heard, anyway
