that will be up to the young man that is receiving this blade :) if it were me, i would probably throw some awesome green burl on there.. with red liners and brass hardware... but thats just me :P

im sure the gentleman that is getting this blade will post the finished results when he is finished :D

put some Antler on it :)

That might be beyond the scope of a first time time build for some people like myself. That antler handle knife looks great.

That is an awesome looking carving stick you have in that one picture.

Very nice, Red!  That will make a beautiful knife when it's finished.

I love the polish you've been putting on your bevels! I'll bet water just beads on that like a newly waxed car. Good looking blade. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished knife.

Sharpened down both sides would be cool! I can't look anymore. I got one on the way I need to know and love. I'm glad I only need one knife. :)

I have been trying to push Steve into some more convex kits and he told me they are coming.

hey guys, if there is something you want just let me know! if you want a convex woodlore kit just let me know and i will make it happen!

convex blades are gonna run a little more than the scandi's though, as the more metal being removed for the full height grinds uses more belts than a scandi.

thanks :) we will see if he actually uses it, or if it becomes a drawer queen :P we both live in hell (FL) where the humidity rarely goes below 80%, so the mirror polished blades fare a little better when using carbon steels.

i wish i could find a local dealer that sold that frog lube you have, id love to give it a shot but they dont even sell it on ebay!

Have you ever tried Gunzilla?  It's a CLP and works good here, but our humidity isn't all year either...

Amazon has the frog lube. It's a little on the pricey side though.

Sexy curves and smooth flawless skin. Looks like it came back from a plastic surgeon.

Yes this one was finished a while back. I found one thread about it here.

Looks good Red. Nice Scandivex. That's what I would call it with the plunge 1/4-3/8" up the blade. With a polish like that it has to slide through the wood like butter.
