Woods & Moe....two friends I can always count on for encouragement.

Yeah, there are a couple of gopher mounds that rise above the distant horizontal plane of the Nebraska horizon & I DO count on Heather for her computer skills to suck the images off my Canon PowerShot ELPH 110 HS for transfer to Photobucket, so I can access them from my iPad.  You CAN do that with a $29.95 'after-market' cable, but the reviews are terrible on it, so since this method seems to work OK, I think we'll just keep on doing it this way.  :P

Looks like a pretty good year for grass in that country.  I have been through Arthur a few times, back when I lived in Colorado and we hunted over by Winner South Dakota each fall.

Nice photos Wolfy.  Nice church.

Did you take the stage ride that goes from the remaining farriers stations and heads down south and around to the east and back?

Don't like them plywood stage coaches eh?   ???

When we were there last time we went to Ft. Robinson and the next morning had a private visit to the MOTFT and then went to a ranch east and north of there to hear a talk by the rancher on where he thinks Crazy Horse is buried.  He wrote a book by the name of "To Kill an Eagle".  Makes a cogent argument about where he is and, in fact, claims to know. (at least as I understood him).

Wow Craig, I may just have to deliver my next order to Nebraska to see it for myself, judging from the pictures it doesn't all suck  ;) although having rag weed as the state flower is giving me hay fever.

Is your state tourist board charged with keeping people from visiting so you Nebraskans can avoid crowds and have it all to yourselves?  Because I have never seen an ad to visit and there is obviously a bunch to see.
Upon this a question arises: whether it be better to be loved than feared or feared than loved? One should wish to be both, but, because it is difficult to unite them in one person, it is much safer to be feared than loved.

Graylan, I'm pleased you like my 'office'.....I'm lucky to have it!   I've managed to shoot 1-2 deer per year from those bluffs and creek bottoms for the last 50 years.   I suppose all tolled, we take around 6-10 deer per season from the farm.  The last couple of seasons have been a bust, though......I"ll bet the EHD wiped out 90% of them.   They ARE showing signs of recovery, but most of them have not had the time to grow to a decent size.  They'll be back. :)

Thanks, Mike, but you are confusing our state flower (goldenrod) with ragweed....two separate plants, altogether.  Not an unusual mistake....Google 'goldenrod' or 'ragweed' and you will get pictures of both of them on the same page! :P

Amazingly, our board of tourism does a pretty decent job.  Tourism is the state's 3rd largest industry and an important part of our economy.  I will add a link to get a FREE slick tour guide to the state.....lots of pictures of the different regions taken by photographers a LOT better than I am! :-[  :P

That's good to know....not surprising, either in the case of those pictures.  I know the ground has never seen a plow or maybe even grazed!
