Knife of Doom, an update
« on: April 11, 2012, 01:53:00 PM »
Following on from this thread: http://bladesandbushcraft.com/index.php/topic,186.0.html

Well, there's definitely something fishy about this knife...
I sent it over to Kep to try out and, the same day I posted it, I got an offer to buy a car cheaply (small payments per month). Now, I'd been car free for about a month (see link), and this was truly a godsend!

Kep reported no bad luck. On the contrary, his luck improved! (the git :)) )
Maybe the knife is a sort of Luck-vampire, that steals my luck and gives it to others?

Anyhow, I got the knife back yesterday and, a couple of hours later, my washing machine broke down. Coincidence????

It sounds like you need to take that knife to the nearest volcano and toss the SOB into some lava.  LOL.
Is there such a thing as too many knives?

I was thinking about doing a passaround, as soon as I can afford the shipping... So far it seems like I'm the only one who has bad luck with this knife. :)

I don't know if I believe in luck but too many times I feel that if I have or do something then something bad will happen.  I have gotten rid of things or not done things because I felt something bad would happen.  Jontok trust your gut and do what you feel is best.

Yes, please pass you luck around! ;D

I'm sure it would be most excellent for to stir the great big lingon jam pots that will be simmering here this year.

I was thinking it was more like a curse than bad luck, Jon. Not that the knife is cursed, just that you are cursing the knife!

Send it to Warehouse 13, and let them dunk it in some of that blue gunk.  ;D
