Canemaking....heavy sticks content

Anybody else besides me on here enjoy making canes, staves and sticks?

Mine's an aluminum adjustable model with a gray rubber grip.......not too picturesque. :rolleyes:   I just put it away after using it for a couple of months and I'm sick of looking at it! :pissed:

Actually, I have 3 canes available to me that are a bit more 'natural, but they are old and a little too short for me.  Two are diamond willow.....one of which I peeled a long time ago, but either it shrank or I got taller.  The last one belonged to my wife's grandfather, but I have no idea what kind of wood it was made from.....it is some kind of jointed cane or something, but not bamboo.  Its crook was probably formed by steaming and bending.

I don't know where my camera is.....Heather hid it, I guess. :shrug:

It is, but there's not much of it around here anymore and what's left has been pretty well picked over by the danged cane makers! >:(
