LOL Plainsman, this was the first band I saw in concert they were playing at the Eagles Ball Room in Milwaukee.

CRAZY show when this song came on the mosh pit came alive and I had pitchers of cheep beer poured on me from people on the balcony.  Come to think of it, the first time I crowed surfed was during this song!  I remember praying, "God, if you get me out of here alive I will serve you the rest of my life!"  it took me 5 years later but I honored my end of the bargain.   ;)

Nice.

I like a lot of Brazilian stuff. Mostly weirder stuff, but I've got some Jobim, Astrud Gilberto, etc, in my crates.

Jimmie Dale Gilmore

I never knew the history behind the song or what the lyrics really meant, but here's some fascinating information that you might find as interesting as I did......

http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/2155/whats-the-story-behind-mack-the-knife

Gilmore played the part of 'Smokey' in THE BIG LEBOWSKI.   Walter pulled down on him in the bowling alley with a 1911A-1 when he put a toe over the foul line in league play. 8)

How good is that Andrew Winton on slide?!! I'm gonna have to check out more of his stuff.

Hard acts to follow here but I'll start with Nick Waterhouse

The best thing about living in a totally different time zone to everyone else is you can hog the thread... Rod spotted this girl busking and invited her to sing at his show (so the story goes).

completely different but this is almost an anthem down this way, especially with ANZAC day approaching

Just lately , this song has been one of those "Musical Earworms" to me...

You know what I mean...A song or tune that just seems to stick with ya for a week or more & ya just can't seem to get it out of your head...
;D

So , here it is:

"Step off", sung by Kacey Musgrave

and if ya don't like it... Waaalll.. Just...

"Step off!"
;D

Saturday morning, light dusting on the tops, nip in the air, home made vege soup and bread on the stove..... perfect!
