Memorial Day 2015/SilverQueen
« on: May 25, 2015, 05:00:07 PM »
Was able to get the big boat out today. Some friends borrowed it last week so I wanted to sit in it for a while today. Was a fantastic day. God Bless our fallen heroes.

Happy to have it in tow.

Lulu wants to go but struggles so.

I enjoyed being in this old boat. It makes a wonderful sound on the water.

Saw my friend the heron.

Happy to see others on the stream.

This was our lunch break spot.

Seems to be the drinking spot too.

Pretty and clear.

Happy Memorial Day

I mowed the lawn.

Upon this a question arises: whether it be better to be loved than feared or feared than loved? One should wish to be both, but, because it is difficult to unite them in one person, it is much safer to be feared than loved.

The Queen looks great on that vehicle.....did you buy it to color-match the boat?    I was worried about the heron......first I've seen of him this year. ???

Thanks for the photos, Creek......I always enjoy them. :canoe:

Too wet to canoe here.  We got another 1 1/2" of rain and the beaver is happy as are all of us with some sort of crop.

I thought about my best friend who was killed in action in Vietnam on May 22, 1968.  47 years has passed by without hearing his voice except in my mind.
