Hello and Thanks to all my Friends
« on: September 28, 2015, 05:58:00 PM »
Hi, Everyone!  I have not been on very much over the last couple years.  I have popped in now and then to ask for prayers pertaining to getting custody of my youngest son.  Thank you to all of you that prayed because your prayers were answered and I received 50% shared parental custody rights so that means I have my son living with me 7 out of 14 days.  It is FAIR and truthfully neither me or my ex-wife should have 100% control over our son.
For a lot of reasons, I have experienced some depression on different degrees and loads of anxiety.  I, recently, couldn't deal with it anymore and gave myself over to the LORD.  I have always been a believer in Christ but I told him that I am his and do with me as he will.  It was from that moment that I felt relief and have been truly happy in my life very possibly the first time that I have been truly happy ever.  I try to give myself over to him every day by getting out of his way and letting him guide me (I can't say that I succeed in that but I can say that I try and that my life has been better on so many levels).

I look forward to reconnecting on here with all of my friends and making many new ones.

These bible passages have crossed my path several times over the past few weeks and they are what I have been trying to live by.  I would like to share them with you and hopefully they touch you the way they have touched me.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you - James 4:7

I guess he'd rather be in Colorado.

Welcome back Matt.  Good to hear things have been getting brighter for you,
Upon this a question arises: whether it be better to be loved than feared or feared than loved? One should wish to be both, but, because it is difficult to unite them in one person, it is much safer to be feared than loved.

Good to hear from you Matt. I've been away from the form for quite some time and recently resurfaced too. I'm so glad to hear about your custody. I know you've been working on that for a while now.
